i should have known better i knew that biostar was at the top because i saw the guys results when he did it haha..
and now i know the 955 clocks higher (was debating which one to get haha)

Like Console stated above...I think it's more about decent motherboards and golden chips when you get near the top of the pack as far as Ghz goes.

Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Biostar...etc. They are all good companies, or they would be out of business. It's like comparing 'Vettes to Vipers to Shelby 'Stangs...they are all fast cars, comes down to personal preference in the end.

just looked at hwbot and 790fx still is the best amd board for overclocking.
i dont think they have gotten the new 890fx just right yet
but still id get the Gigabyte ud5.
just because asus has ticked me off with there mid ranged boards.(not too happy with mine)

Sno had a MSI mb he said he got to 370 ( I think ) .
I am hoping to do a AMD build in the next 2 months and ref clock will be the winning factor for me as I will prob getting the 1055t

Either way, that isn't very fair. Just about any board will do 370 on the ref. clock under extreme cold.

I didnt think that haveing the Chip under the cold stuff helped the Mb ... ? get past its wall . am I wrong in this thinking

Believe it or not it does help. With intel chips, most hit the cpu wall long before the board. With Amd cpu's it's the same, but less well known because Amd's cpus have unlocked multipliers and they don't cost 4 times as much as a locked chip.
