Thats setup you have. Does it run?

Loop 1 -Pump, cpu, heater-core, chiller, Pump

Loop 2 -Pump, heater-core

Do TEC chillers consume more watts on average then units using refrigeration units like the prom. ?

These pics show part which connects 2 fluid circuits - so basically there's a need for 2 pumps. On cold CPU side, you don't mount any rads as water chillers is a part which cools it.

TEC chillers use a LOT of power, far more than phase-change units as Prommy. As avarage, you may assume that efficiency of TECS is 8-9x worse than phase change, so basically to get efficiency of 200Watt phase-change cooling, you'd need 1.6-18.kWatt Pelt array (lol).

How did you arrive at that figure?

A factor of three would be more accurate. My TEC chiller, which is pelted to 300 Watts can keep a workstation comfortably cool.

Phase change is more efficient, as you can use a factor of ~1/3 (hence 9 times better). ;)

Officially TECs have efficiency of around 5%, while phase change 40-45%. These are numbers just numbers :)
So basically good 35Watt phase change could do hte same, but there's something like minimal power due to pressure difference you have to achieve, so it's not so easy to have <100Watt phase change. That might be why we don't see so much advantagg of phase change over TECs. Other thing is that TECs are just easier to havethan phase change :)
