i have a dell dimensions c521 with amd 64 processor... i am considering building up a system using some of the parts from my old system.. i was told that i can get a motherboard to work with the processor i currently have... i know i will have to replace my ram chip but what other components would i need to replace? would i have to replace the power supply, graphics card etc.?

Hard to tell what hardware you can reuse if we don't know what it is you have.
Is the machine still running? What CPU, CPU speed, RAM speed, RAM size, and number of RAM sticks does CPU-Z show ...?
