Hi there,
i've got an DFI LP NFII Ultra B, AMD XP-M 2500+ IQYHA and Kingston HyperX with Bh-5
The Problem is I cant pass 240 MHz FSB.
I set the multiplier on 5x and all voltages (nearly) to the max.
In detail : 1,85V Vcore, 1,9V VDD, 3,3V Vdimm
And now I tested many different settings but I cant gat it stable at 240 FSB or higher.
Has anyone an idea whats the problem ?
- CPU too bad ? doesnt like the high FSB ? (it's not a very good one, 200x11 @ ~1,6V stable, 225x10 @ ~1,725 stable)
- mainboard limit reached ?
- Ram limit reached ?

but Memtest is running without problems at 240 (5-2-3-2) and above
and i think the LP Ultra B is also not the problem (i'm using Hellfire BIOS 3EG 1/21 Rev 3)

anyone an idea ? should I try another XP-M (2600+) ?
greets, hoshy001

does it boot up at all above 240 or does it hang with one led, or the low/high siren?

yes it does, i can always boot windows but it's not prime/sp2005 stable

Have you tried running a fan over your fets?
Do your mosfets have heatsinks on them?
What type of cooling on the Northbridge?

I remember my old 8RDA used to scortch when it was overclocked.

mosfets have no heatsinks, cooled by fan little bit
