I've heard display port is now the way to go. I've never had to deal with it so I'm curious is it best to go display port to displayport? Or do to hdmi?

Also what cord is recomended? Brand or what not?

I have a gtx 1080, and just got an acer predator z35 monitor.

Thanks for the help.

Dp to Dp is recommended. Brand really doesn't matter, don't overspend. If just make sure it meets the latest display port standard.

+1

It is always best to go native and not use an adapter.

As far as image quality, there isn't a difference.
