Got a quick question that hopefully someone can answer really easy and quick. If I ever needed to RMA a Intel CPU to Intel for a faulty cpu, would I need the original cardboard box for the RMA with all the info on it?
No.
I RMA'ed a 2.4C to Intel and all they asked for were the markings on the chip to verify it was within warranty. I'm sure towards the end of the 3 yr period (or 1 for a non-boxed one), a receipt would be required.
