Easy help with whether this RAM is compatible

So I wanna buy this MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130637

But I'm not completely sure if the RAM I also want to buy is compatible with it, which is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231468

The MOBO says it does support 2133(OC), but I'm kinda new with overclocking (but definitely not new to hardware or computers, I've built many before). So it that RAM compatible? There are many GSkill Ripjaw series that are compatible, all ranging from DDR3 1066-1866. But since RAM is pretty much the same price for all speeds, I want the most for the price. Thanks a lot for any help.
 
Yes it is compatible, however it will not run at full speed when running at stock settings. It will downclock the ram to 1866mHz. I would personally get an 1866 kit because it is natively supported, tbh the support and stability of (OC) support on some mobos can be pretty dodgy.

The MSI website has a page for memory compatibility, though it may not be listed. I checked briefly but didn't see any listed officially at 2133:

TBH you are better off going with the 1833 kit as I mentioned, you skip any instability caused and you have a solid 1833 kit. After you pass 1800mhz with amd cpus you pretty much get diminishing returns after that, the 2133 kit is not worth the uncertainty imo...

It won't be the (OC) denotation means that there is no official support/testing for that speed of RAM. All the (OC) means is that it is possible to overclock to that speed however it is not natively supported.

It's hard to set stable 2133 or higher on these mobos and there is almost no performance difference between 1866 and 2133 so better just look for some good 1866 kit on tighter timings like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231550 ... there is more kits in similar prices and most of these 1866 can also make 2133.

Good to know. The last time I used the Newegg memory finder to find RAM compatible with a MOBO, it told me some cheap stuff (but just as expensive as the others) was compatible so I got that. And when I wanted to overclock with the cheap board I purchased, I think the lower (maybe higher?) voltage of that RAM screwed me over. But that's in the past and was a learning experience of not to buy a lame MOBO lol. Thanks a lot for the info and quick responses, now I know for future reference and PC builds. It's greatly appreciated.
 
I know this is a double post, but I kinda have another question even tho it is off-topic. I changed my mind on the MOBO (read reviews of MSI and even that type of MOBO being bad for overclocking). So my question is, what benefit does RAM like this (1.25v):

Have over 1.5v RAM? Also, is the lower voltage better than it being 1866? The new MOBO:

Only goes to 2000 O.C RAM, and since 1866-2133 isn't noticeable, It's safe to assume that it's just better to go with the lower voltage 1600 RAM ? I'm not sure what kind of effect the lower voltage has on overclocking tbh, but Newegg does say that that RAM is compatible with it, even though Gigabyte themselves say otherwise.
 
There is almost no difference between 1.25V and 1.50V. Both are overclocking about the same what depends more from used chips than voltage. There is also almost no difference between heat and power consumption.
2nd link isn't working for me but no matter what board is it, all should go up to 2133. Anything above 1866 will be marked as OC so producers won't guarantee that higher clocks are going to work stable.
I would worry more if you wish to pick 8GB stick memory sets but almost all 2x4 or 4x4GB should be compatible as most chips have similar specification for clocks up to 1866.
