I've had several failed CPU work units in a row; however the GPU client is producing good WUs thankfully.

System setup:

Asus X79
Xeon E5 2650(stock clocks)
16GB RAM
GTX 970
Zorin 9
NVIDIA 352.63 drivers
FAH v7.4.4



I'm not sure what's happening, maybe someone will recognize a clue from

Can that be done using the "configure" feature in the FAH Control GUI? I tried setting from -1(default) to -12, but the setting did not 'stick'.

up arrow to desired number of cpu (cores/threads)

I tried changing my quad core cpu to 12. It let me scroll up to 12, but popped up mesg when atting to save that my cpu could only be set to 4 max.

CPU WUs are being ignored for the most part, I think they are going the way of the dodo bird. I have shut a number of my CPU WUs down because they failed to get work or the units failed and gave no points. It's almost at the point of a waste of power to fold them.

The long promised AVX client has never arrived either, putting CPU WUs even farther behind in points compared to GPUs.

perhaps the fail issue related to 14 being 2x7, and 7 is usually excluded for issues with most/all projects. The large prime issue.

Well, in that case I'm sure glad to have gone with a GPU upgrade rather than pursuing dual or quad socket systems for folding.
