So lets say one of these seasonic fanless 460watt psu's or the rebranded variants.

If one was to run it flat out for a sustained period of time, would it get upset and turn into a smoldering pile of voltagewattohms?

Nope, they're all built to run fanless with ventilation however indefinitely.
Now if you lock it in a sealed box, that's a different story.
There has to be air movement at least from convection.
 
Thanks, should have worded that better, but you knew what I meant.

In my case, it'll be in outside of the case, to an open room, but certainly won't have anything blowing in its direction.
 
Out in the open, grill up, is just fine. It'll be perfectly happy.

How is it for dust? Better being fanless obviously, but does it still accumulate?
 
At roughly the same rate as anything else in your house does. Not fast.
 
Picked this up, seems good to me. Doesn't run hot (Haven't gamed yet) and sound quality/noise improved.
