I just traded a friend my 8150FX for his 1090T. Long story short... he wanted a bulldozer... I wanted better performance! Anyway... It's my first time OC'ing on the Thuban platform. I can't seem to get this chip over 4Ghz, but I think I'll make up in performance on the NB OC. Here's what I got.

CPU: 1090T
Mobo: Crosshair V Formula
Ram: G-skill Sniper 1866Mhz 9-10-9-28-2T 1.5v
Video: 2x EVGA GTX470's SLI @ 825Mhz Core 2000Mhz Mem
PSU: OCZ ZX 1250W
HDD: 2x WD Velociraptor 600Gb Sata 6Gb/s in Raid-0
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932
HSF: Thermaltake FRIO w/ Cooler Master SickleFlow Push/Pull

FSB: 200Mhz
Multiplier: 20x
DRAM Freq: 1600Mhz @ 7-8-7-22-29-1T
CPU/NB: 3000Mhz
HT-Link: 2600Mhz
LLC: Extreme

CPU Voltage: 1.4875v
CPU/NB Voltage: 1.4v
CPU VDDA Voltage: 2.8v
HT-Link Voltage: 1.275v
NB Voltage: 1.275v
DRAM Voltage: 1.6v

CPU Idle: 25C Deg
CPU Load: 51C Deg
NB Avg: ~31C Deg

Ran Prime95 for 12hrs and MemTest for 2 passes. All is stable. Any advise to what more i can do would be appreciated. I am perfectly happy with this OC btw. I just want to see if it will go further. Thx in advance!! :)

With the ram running 787 and 1T you do not have much room to try and raise the FSB/CPU Frequency Control setting which would also raise the cpu speed as well as ram speed. You might try 205 FSB and see if you get a little more speed. 1.4875Vcore is about all I would like to run day in and day out but people are different. I would check CPU CORE Temps with HWMonitor and ensure that the CORE TEMPs not cpu temps are not exceeding 55C and if not all should be okay.

Thx for the feedback RGone, but unfortunately I get BSOD after 2 minutes of Prime95 with 202 FSB. I'm just gonna stick with 200, cuz it's a nice round number. I did however manage to lower my voltages and lower temps. Running Prime95 blend now for the last two hours. Seems stable. I'm gonna then try to lower DRAM voltage to 1.55 or 1.525. Seems as though core 5 is always the failing core, but the loss in performance after disabling and OCing the others it isn't worth it to me. Here's my new voltages and temps:

CPU Voltage: 1.475v
CPU/NB Voltage: 1.35v
CPU VDDA Voltage: Auto(~2.5v)
HT-Link Voltage: 1.275v
NB Voltage: 1.225
DRAM Voltage: 1.6v

CPU Idle: 23C Deg
CPU Load: 48C Deg
NB Avg: ~30C Deg

Any other tips or advice would be much appreciated!! Thx in advance
