Just wondering if it is possible to flash the bios with a USB external floppy drive. Ive always used an internal, but I was thinking about getting an external and removing the internal to free up a few wires. Is this possible? And what settings would it require in the bios of a P4P800 dlx?

if your board has a boot from usb option, which most newer boards do, you should be able to. i know you can boot from thumbdrives. just check in your bios.

USB drive works fine for flashing, I dont think I have built a system with a floppy in like 4 years.
