I was talking about freon in a watercooling setup as it was initially mentioned. I'm not an expert of chemicals but wouldnt freon evaporate pretty fast because of it's very low boiling point? And how would you turn it back to it's liquid state without a compressor. Sounds like bye bye fry my babe... within seconds to me :p
 
Yes, freon will evaporate under STP. Using it in a non-phase change system is an...incredibly...ignorant idea. Its too absurd to even be worth talking about.

Read this thread for thorough information on various coolants. Most use antifreeze or other additives simply to fight corrosion.
