Hello,

I recently bought some new parts to mix in with my old parts. I have a

3570k i5
radeon 6870
asrock z77 extreme 4
G.SKILL 8 gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428

So I install the two 8 gb sticks and everything reads that I have two 4 gb sticks. I have win7 home premium which means I should be able to have the full 16gb usable and installed. Also, the mobo says its good up to 32gb.any ideas what is going on?

seems like hes confused seeing the 8gb "kit" and assuming two 8gb sticks

oh duh. That explains it. I was really baffled with this for like 2 days. haha

In my defense, it was some old ram I had stored in with the GPU under my bed. I could have sworn it was 2x8gb. oh well... *retreats to corner*
