What heatsink are you using? If its the stock HS/F you really dont want to even consider overclocking with it. Now, your vCore is running awfully high for stock speeds also. I assume your motherboard is running "Auto" setting right now? If so you should go through and manually set as many things as possible. Try taking the CPU vCore down to ~1.3v and see how it fairs at stock speed.

Yep running stock heat sink & fan
Running everything in auto
I am looking to get a new cpu cooler but am trying to decide on water or air need help with that

IMO when looking at water cooling its FULL CUSTOM OR BUST. The H100 and TT Water 2.0 Performer etc are good units but you can get the same results with an equally priced air cooler. If you want to do a full custom loop the perfomance is limited only to your budget/willingness to expand it.

Thats what I thought
Now just need a good air cooler & maybe build a water setup later if I go that far

You have turbo core enabled still. Since the load is low the first and second core are boosting..

We can help you get your rig tuned up if you post screenshots of CPUz CPU, Memory, and SPD tabs.

Looks like everything checks out. Your moterhboard has set 2 of your RAM timings differently than the spec lists them but if its not unstable were not going to worry about it for now.

So now you should load test it with P95 and keep an eye on it. If it doesn't go over 60C after 15 mins you should be good to go.

Guess I going to get a new cooler
Ran Prime 95 & after 5 mins I hit 66* so I shut it down
Computer runs good & temps are good with everyday stuff but on Prime 95 they shoot up fast
Need some recommendations on a good cpu fan/heatsink

Around $100 or more if needed
Just want everything to run best I can make it
Right now my case is very quiet & I would think having 2 120mm front intakes, 1 140mm on top, 120mm rear & a 120mm side fan would be louder

As you can see there are quality heatsinks at alot of price points. The 212+ is recommended alot around here because of performance/cost. The noctura will beat it by a fair margin, but whether or not that 5-10C difference is worth triple the price or not is up to you.

The Noctura sounds good to me & the price is fine
Thanks for the help & info, I will order the cpu cooler & hope it cures my problem then I can start to mild overclock

Ok I think something is way off in my build
Running at stock speeds, all green turned off
I can run prime 95 on blend for 3 mins before high temps WTF
No errors just high temps

You need to return that cpu to where you bought it as failed or tell AMD rma that it is not reading temps correctly.

Like an idiot I did not keep the link to the ONLY user that has faced your problem in this forum for all the background info, but I basically remember and your cpu seems to fit the pattern he had. OH we have had others think they had they same problem as the ONE user I am referring to but it was because they had crap cooling and once that was fixed then their temps dropped. But remembering that only real situation; your cpu seems to fit his pattern and he had the CPU replaced and temps and all were then fine.

I am going to try and search for that ONE real thread that I remember that yours fits and will link it IF I find it again. RGone...ster.
