GART problems

I noticed that I took a big hit to my 3DMark score when switching to XP (25%). After some digging I noticed that SMARTGART on my 9800pro was set to none. Every time I tried to up the AGP speed to 8x it would restart the computer and be set back at none. I've noticed that there is also a mystery device that windows cannot recognize (unknown device) and can't find the drivers on the disk that came with my motherboard.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I'd check your motherboard manufacturer's site to see if they have GART drivers available there. If it's an Nforce2 chipset, the Nvidia NF2 chipset drivers should include GART drivers.
