Back in February, I bought my present pc. At the time, these specs were near state-of-the-art:

Athlon XP 2800+ Barton At 2.19Ghz (3200+ Barton.)
1Gb PC3200 DDR.
ATA100 IBM Deskstar 7200rpm 120GB Disk Drive.
Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro Atlantis 128MB Video Card.

The question is: by the end of the year, will my pc begin to be outdated? With 64-bit processors, Serial ATA disk drives and new video cards, will it be ready for the likes of D3 and HL2? If not, what should be upgraded?

your rig looks fine, I would however suggest getting a new video card, that 9600 pro will be holding you back

A nice X800 Pro or 6800NU/GT would go well in that system if you wanted to spend $300-$400.

A little cheaper? A 9800 Pro would help out too :)
