This is the 2nd time this has happened. The estimated return is doing a countdown because this WU is hanging.

Last time I quit and restarted, the WU is a goner. A new one will start. One card is hot and the other is not indicating 01 is not doing any work.

Update: I quit the client using the right click option from the tray icon. Then the graphic card temp started dropping. when I restarted a minute later...
BSOD

Lots of fun tonight :-/

Hanging up at the return seems to be a different issue than the BSOD. I've experienced and read of hangs that are related to Stanford's server rather than your unit. The temp issue is something I'm sure you know how to address....heat is the enemy. Get rid of it.

I had this issue last night into today were I didn't even gain any points for a 6 hour period ... was pretty annoyed tbh .

0x1a was the BSOD?

That's memory managment... You OCing the RAM or something?

Nope. CPU is running stock speeds now. 3.0GHz > 2.4GHz after the BIOS reset. I'll have to look at the BIOS settings again and see if something weird is going on.

I only seem to have one fan control slider using the Catalyst Control. I'd like to control both separately. GPU-Z says one fan is 80% (what I set the fan control to) and the other is ~50%. Yet both cards are fully loaded and are running similar temps within a degree or two.

I had another 99.99% issue early this morning while I was sleeping. FAH warning log said there was assignment server issues with no work. However when I quit and restarted the client, there was work units already ready to run. Looks like GPU 01 just stops, but after a restart, picks it back up.

Temps are in the mid to high 60s.

No BSOD this time :)

I"m also experioencing the same issue, and it's costing me quite a bit of PPD since I don't always watch my rigs, so I can go a good 12h with no work getting done

Perhaps this is an issue with the servers collecting the WU again...

I have had some WU's not be able to upload the results in the past 2 days, but it fixes itself before the next WU is finished...

I have GPU-Z to check both cards' temps. It's obvious when one stops folding. 30°C drop.

Just wish the client would automatically restart the WU instead of just locking up.

Running the newest V7 client right?
Doesn't make sense that it just randomly stops folding.

The only thing I can think of, is a driver crash. I had my 270x crash and my 7850 crash, but the client said they were folding when in reality, they were idle because of the driver crash.

Check your event log for any errors related to "Display"

Should hit 100+kPPD today in spite of the issues. Unfortunately I didn't have my previous OC profile saved in BIOS so I'll have to get a stable OC and then save it for the next time the BIOS gets reset.

Back up to 3GHz CPU again. So far so good. BSOD was due to a hard drive boot order issue (I think). Should be resolved now.

I'm not OCing the GPUs. They have enough to deal with GPU_FAH 24/7.

Latest stable client and WHQL driver. Still might be a driver issue like you said. Time will tell. The system needs to be rock solid stable for the drivers to work well too. Upgrading from my 610W PCP&C to a 750W PCP&C power supply can't hurt either. Waiting for it to get shipped.

Looks like that misconfigured boot device issue I found in the BIOS.

Looks like a display driver hiccup did occur. Might be an unstable system that caused it too.

I have since corrected the BIOS drive boot order issue and went back to my 3GHz CPU OC.

The WU that got frozen and restarted has been successfully sent and a new one is folding

Usually I get that same driver error log when my overclock fails on my GPU's for some reason...
Since your GPU's are at stock, either the driver is flaky (you running that Omega driver?) GPU's are now degraded from folding 24/7 (like mine are beginning to) or the system is really unstable.

No WHEA errors right?

Anyway, glad it picked up a new WU!
Hopefully it won't hiccup this time. Maybe feed the GPU's a tad more voltage to be safe..

PC crashed last night just after I left for work :(

Temps were OK according to GPU-Z. High 60s to low 70s.

Is it the system or yet another dicey AMD graphics driver?

Still waiting for that 750W power supply to get shipped in case that helps stability. The 610W PCP&C is rated high enough to be stable at max ratings.

In the meantime, I'd try upping the voltage a bit, or dropping the core speed slightly.

Afterburner is good for this.

Thanx I'll look into that. Losing 10hrs sux, but eventually I'll get it rock solid stable and maximize PPD and my electrical bill lol.

Got Afterburner running and tweaked the voltage up a bit.

I'll do a driver cleaner and reinstall if the crashes continue.

I'll up the voltages more first.
