i was wondering what size hdd laptops use and if i could replace them with SSD drives? I know the OCZ Core V2 ssd drives are 2.5in and these would be the ideal drives i want to put into a laptop.

Laptop hard drives are 2.5, you should be able to pop in the OCZ SSD with no problems.

i'm also wondering if the asus F8sn-D1 has a mmx-II slot and if i can replace the T5550 with a T8100.

Should be able to, Asus is one of those companies that turn out not only great systems. But pretty user-accessible systems.

Depending on how recently you purchased it it may not even need a bios update. I'd still check though, better to be safe than sorry.
