Hardware IRQ

Does having 2 major devices on the same IRQ # hurt performance? My video card and wireless adapter are on number 16, both. Question i need answered is does it hurt performance, cause I GAME, ONLINE frequently. TIA for any help

If you have XP as an O/S the answer is No ..It dont hurt performance

Assuming you're using ACPI and have your I/O APIC enabled and an OS that supports it, you shouldn't have to worry about IRQs.

Well, they have to be enabled in the bios. I forget how to check from within windows (in linux, just check dmesg).
