Has anyone gotten 2 PC3200 ram sticks to work in an A7V8X???

Im thinking about buying a 256 stick of XMS corsair cas 2 PC3200 ram to for a total of 768.. Will this work on the A7V8X??? Has anyone tried this?

it should work butwe have had some boot problems like not posting at all. if you get it get a cheap stick for back up. i had to go buy some pny to compliment my xms512pc3200ll.

I think the limit of pc3200 (400mhz) ddr on the a7v8x board is 1 dimm only. Ive got this board so im goin for a single 512mb stick of kingmax pc3200.

i have pc 3500 on this mobo! runs ok!

i have a setting in bios though thats 266 or 333 or 400mhz and on 400mhz setting its like it defaults to 266 speed?

but i have oced from setting 333 over that!

ummm.......RedArmy........like 2 point out 2 ya that were talkin bout the a7v8x........not the a7n8x (board ur running)...........u can get 2 dimm's of pc3200 but the a7v8x can only get 1.

Even slightly higher than my xp2000 pali! got 1800 o/c with that!

these xp1700 are very good as they are unlocked, nice!

Please don't try to use the 400 Mhz setting for the memory.
Just use the FSB 166 and the memory will follow that at twice the FSB. It's the single way to get good memory performance with this board. You could use 2 memory sticks with the 166 FSB as it falls within the specification that Asus gives. Just try to work your way up from 166 Mhz FSB.
