Does this vary depending upon the motherboard. I used to have to up the voltage to 1.8 to get stable with my XP2700 chip when I had my A7V8X board just as I had to up the voltage for my AGP to get my 9700 pro working well. Now I have a MSI K7N2 and this doesnt seem to be the case.. Why????

I got 2ghz out of my 1700+ T-Bred B with stock voltage. It all depends on how well your chip overclocks in the first place. If your chip is not meant to operate at a certain frequency, it wont do it even if you give it more voltage.

I reached 2.1 Gig @stock V in my GA-7VAXP. JIUHB 0302 1700 T-Bred. I have since changed my multi to 15x and have upped the voltage to 1.72.

My 1700 "B" (JIUHB 0302) is running 2083 at 1.65V without a hitch. I bump it up to 1.7-1.75 to run faster, but I've never been over 1.8V with this chip.
