Have new MotherBoard,need help with cpu

Hi everybody ! I just got a new MB from a giveaway ,it is the SUPERMICRO SuperO MBD-C7Z170-OCE-O . I already have a 6700K in another build and was wondering what xeon cpu anyone here would suggest for it.

Maybe something equal to the i7-5960X or better ? Any help will be appreciated

The chipset is Z170 so you wont be able to put a CPU like the 5960x cause its a X99 chipset CPU. Best CPU for Z170 is the 6700k afaik.

I realize I can't put a 5960X in it . I meant a Xeon chip that was equivalent to that of the 5960X . Like the Xeon E5-1660 v3 is . Or one that might be better than that .

be that as it may, there are no 1151 xeon's that are comparable to a 5960x. The 6700k is the best chip you can put into 1151 at this time.

Right now, 1151 arks only go to E3 lineup, there are no E5's planned or produced for 1151 at this time.
