yeah I do beleive it was a myth, as I was staying under 1000, as I saw that, then just tried 1050 and got a nice boost in score , so clock away

It ain't happening here. I see no strap changes or timing loosening happening on a memory clock change from
999 to 1008 in the benchmark scores. If either one were happening the scores would drop noticeably and they
aren't.

Intresting they must be smoking something, now that I remember I did a 890/1050 (what ever the mem came out to be) and it worked perfectly fine as well. Increasing the score.
