Hey guys, Keep in mind you might think this topic is kind of weird for this website, but I didn't know where else to post. Anyway, I want to know what pair of noise isolating headphones you think is best and why, the sennheiser MM 450, the sennheiser MM 550, the sennheiser pxc 450 (I know this isn't a headset) and the Bose quietcomfort 15 (I know this isn't a headset either). Which of these four do you like the best? Which of these has best sound quality and noise isolation?

Also, do you guys know of a heaset that has a 20,000 hz frequency for the microphone (or higher) that is noise isolating?

Next, I just want to make sure, what is better noise isolation, 26db, or "90%" of ambient sound? (I'm pretty sure 90% is better).

Finally, do any of you know of a headset that is better than the three I listed here? if so, what is it? Thanks a lot people! :salute:

You didn't know where else to post? I think you have your music turned up so loud it's damaging your brain. :D

I actually was unaware of any audio website that included forums for posting, so no, the music is not damaging my brain lol, but honestly, does anyone have any helpful feedback?

Also, do you guys know of a heaset that has a 20,000 hz frequency for the microphone (or higher) that is noise isolating?
Why do you need to be able to record a frequency outside the range of human hearing and far outside the human vocal range?

I actually don't know much about any of those headsets. You might find some better information over at Head-Fi. Usually if you want a quality noise cancelling headphone, the HD 280 is a good choice. Definitely don't buy the Bose.

Also, after another look, the MM550 looks like it's circumaural (around the ear) where the MM450 is supreraural (over the ear). The MM550 should isolate a lot better because of that.

Alright, thanks guys. I'm leaning toward the MM 550 now, but I also learned of a new headset from bose, the a20 (a noise cancelling headset). I think I can figure out this one on my own though. Thanks, people! I'm moving out!:salute:

Stay away from Bose is my recommendation. All of their products are cheaply made and absurdly overpriced.
