Hey, I am still here. I have actually been real busy with school and work. I as well have been procrastinating spending money on this stuff as well to save for a new Yamaha R6.

I just obtained a 250GB high RPM HDD, and will be installing XP Professional. I as well got the LVDS -> VGA converter for 35.00 off of ebay, and yes, it works. I tested it with my laptop. I ran VGA out and to the adapter, then to the screen. I used my 12v power adapter to give it the power.

This actually does work, and I will work on it again over Xmas.

Updates coming soon..

FORGOT:

I also will be mounting the screen to the OTHER side of the case, opposite side of the motherboard. There is more room there believe it or not, and I could leave the back open that way..to show off the ****ty old insides LOL

I as well made a black mat out of rubber that fits snug to the floor of the frame. Keeps it easier to clean and looks better.

I will be dis-assembling it all again..sigh..I am thinking about auto priming the case all flat black, with everything. This rattle-can paint really scratches easy. Someone put a nice scratch on the front black piece while I had it sitting :( Maybe I will just lazy it out and re-coat it..

Got my new HDD today! Only thing is that it is a new high speed boot drive, and I need this now to get the old technology working with the new..

Oh well, a few bucks more.

Gonna have to buy this again too:

Sold my last one to my friend and made about 20 bucks in profit.

I decided to redo the front piece that's scratched. I also will be doing my frame cutting soon, and cut my side panel to mount my screen. Pics coming in the next week or two.

The cut frame will look ugly, but you won't see it behind the side with the panel on it..LOL

More painting done! Pretty busy with New Year's and all lately, but here's what's left.

I need to:

1. Get my parts in the mail and install them, coming Monday or Tuesday, cant wait!

2. Silicone mount my intake fans and flatscreen laptop monitor, and converter

3. Run wiring and hook everything up, re-install XP Pro.

4. Paint Power supply and fan inside, paint motherboard's mount for case rear.

5. Post pictures!! Arrghh!

Since pictures seem to be more relevant than words here on this forum, I took a few short minutes and got really quick photos. Pretty bad quality though..taken on an older camera in a darker room with flash.

As you can see, things are messy as crap, and awaiting parts like I stated. UPS is pretty slow over the holidays :bang head

These links will have to be clicked to see the pictures, a little short on time.

You can see I used a metal crimping tool to skim some of the case away, pretty sloppy job, but I don't care because it wont be seen. This way, the LCD panel fits perfectly on the sheet that the motherboard mounts too. The case piece with the hole will go over the top when the LCD panel is shimmed up and siliconed in place. The hole is exactly the size of the screen, without the trim.

The LVDS line will run through the case to the other side where the converter is mounted, go through my converter, and then go to my VGA cable. This will allow the signal to be displayed.

Viola la! All done!

More progress coming soon, with good pictures. Things will be in order soon enough!

PHP:
looks good mate, use the [ img] tags to get the pics on the forums instead of as links =]

I know, you can tell by page 1 and 2 :D I really didn't have time earlier to put up each one, so I c&p'ed links to them.

Thanks, I am really appreciative of the help and support you guys have shown! This computer is looking very badass for being stock as far as the case goes!

Things coming soon (PSU, Mobo) and more updates!!!
