SOLVED Helping a freind with XP log-on

Hello guys, a long story made short, Friend from Germany moved to Australia where I am but on the other side of the country, her Jericho XP laptop was pass word locked in Cmos...I gave instruction by phone to fix that but now Windows is asking for a log on password Could telling her to fire it up in Safe Mode to change the password work? The laptop not important but the family stuff from Germany is

Seems I answered my own question lol

Safe Mode, start-control panel-User accounts- administrator to change password
