picked up a used 50$ desktop. how good is this motherboard combo? picked up a GA-EP45C-UD3R mobo with an E8500 cpu 4 gigs ram and an 8800gts gpu below are pix also how well can i overclock this beast

for those who ask my main pc is an i7 990x this pc is just for fun/a backup. the cpu cooler is a hyper T4 below are pix

here what i want to know how good is the motherboard/cpu combo for overclocking and how well can i overclock the E8500 to 4GHz

you will have fun with this, Arguably the best dual core in it's day and if I am not mistaken you can run DDR2 or 3 in that with speed up to 2K
P45 platform is a ton of fun,
congrats man you will ahve lots of overclocking fun, Good set of Super Talnet Speeds would be a great compliment

seeing as how the 8400 was easy to oc to 4ghz how about the 8500
 
The same. They both crap out around 4-4.3 GHz depending on cooling and the quality of the sample. The motherboard will should not have issues reaching the needed FSB clocks to get there (which is the main concern of that gen motherboards, especially with quad cores).
 
yea the e8500 is a fun chip and typically were the cream of the crop
Agree with Joe, that board will Rock the FSB so your cooling the memory will be the determining factor.
