How much Hdd space do you have? poll!

This is a good question, and fun reading what others say. I tried something I haven't done before a RAID 0. I have two HDD that i RAID'ed together and now have a max space of 2tb (i use about 10% of it, but darn if I am not cool hahaha)

I see in your sig it says 10,000 RPM drives. Well what 1TB drive has that spec? If so where are you hiding them



Update to my previous one.

Lets see I can upgrade my total now.

2x320Gig Internal
1x320Gig External (eSATA) (Almost all exclusively 3D Animation files)
1x640Gig External (eSATA) (Full System Backup Drive)
1x160Gig External (USB 2.0) (Loose ended files from old systems)
1x250Gig Portable (USB 2.0) (Anything big I move)

I only have 1 PC but all my externals are sitting within arm's reach of the PC ready to be powered on anytime. So just over 2TB of space.

Soon I'll be replacing my internal 320's probably for some 640-750's, and see if I can retire my old 160 probably at the same time.

According to the poll, when I selected it I had between 400GB and 600GB of space.

Time to update:

Main PC: 2.5TB
3x500GB 32mb-cache 7200.11's
3x250GB 410AS 7200.10 single-platter drives
1x250GB ES drive (Ubuntu and storage)

I probably use like 500GB max of this.

Fileserver: 1.5TB
1x750GB 7200.10
1x500GB 32mb-cache 7200.11
1x250GB WD IDE (OS)

HTPC:
1x500GB Hitachi (I don't actually use any of this space as everything's on the fileserver and connected by gigabit, but it was the same price as a 250GB Seagate at the time)

IPCop:
20GB Barracuda IV (quiet drive, used only for logging)

Other desktops:
2x250GB (Seagate and WD)


So just over 5TB before formatting

On my main rig I have the following:

2x 1.5tb seagates

That comes out to aproximately 4TB post format
