How to calculate FSB on Quad Core?

Yeah, they did pretty horrible in that regard.

At that 5.2Ghz on the X9650, would it still be a bottleneck for a GTX580 on certain games?

That 5.2 GHz was under dry ice and very unstable. I'd be surprised if it would even get the beginning video of a game.

4-4.3Ghz is about a sweetspot on those quads for 24/7.

if you have your quad core running around 3.6-4ghz, the GTX580 will not be bottle-necked by the cpu. if your playing games at high resolutions then worrying about the cpu being a bottle-neck @3.6ghz+ is the last thing you should be doing.
