how to set up z170 for benching...xp install, 7B bsods :(

Funsoul on the ASrock board need to use a cd or dvd drive. plug HDD\SSD and cd\dvd into the asmedia ports and set to IDE.Need to use usb mouse\keyboard and in bios set usb to ps\2 emulator

This. Makes all the difference in the world. Asrock z170ocf is a finicky bird.

Yessir...running with a usb2 add-on card. Seems like everything's working properly but boy oh boy do my spi times in XP stink.

Unfortunately my Asrock z170ocf experienced quickest death of any mobo i owned. Should have an Asus mobo inbound shortly to continue testing. Still have 6700k bnib. Also getting a 6320.

Sorry for the quick death dude...been there many, many times myself :/

Could be a little while before I get back to this setup (also have a 6320 in addition to the 6700k) as I've got to figure out which ram to get. My current stuff just doesn't seem competitive, going to have to go with some of the b-die.
