Update!

I bought four of these fans, and have them all curently cooling my radiator.

Should I have gotten some better fans? I'm idling at around 37 and under load around 55. I'm also still running antifreeze, as i haven't had time to get actual coolant.

Do you think the antifreeze could be accounting to the raised temps?

Your running anti freeze, what more actual coolant do you need? Mix it 60/40 with Distilled water for sub zero cooling, not sure what Coolant you mean? Unless you mean this junk

Witch is just a money burner, OH but its none conductive(CRAP!)

I figured the anti freeze was to thick to run. Are the specs on those fans alright though?

I like PCICE, already have used it.

lets talk srsbsns. If you really want good performance, and you're not running mixed metals, purer water = better temps. period. Funny fluids impede the water that they're made of's cooling ability.

I've thought of doing an update on the heater core, using an all aluminum one, as I've read that aluminum is better for radiators. I think i might just drain the coolant out tonight and add pure water

once again, are those fans going to be alright? or should I get some with a higher cfm?

post some links if you have them

aluminum + copper + water = galvanic corrosion == holes in your block. Copper has better heat properties, as does brass. Aluminum is worse in every regard for a pc radiator.

that should cover all your fans.

I'm using 80mm fans not 120 lol. Basically I want the highest cfm fan I can find?

I've found a few I think would be better suited.

My radiator is 2" thick, so I'm not sure what I need at this point. I have 4 of those fans I listed in a previous post, but Its not giving me the temperatures I was hoping for. As of not I'm no longer using antifreeze.

Umm, holes on the aluminum, buildup on the copper. Rememer the pics from the Koolance 300 something block the clown lady posted? You could stick a pin through the alum block holes.

righto, that chemistry thing or whatever lol. Basically it's bad :D

That reminds me of Vantec Tornados. Louder than a freakin vacuum cleaner and I've cut fingers on the blades (not calloused areas, admittedly).

Read some of the links people posted for fans. High CFM is useless if the motor is crap. Once the air the fans put out hit resistance from the rad, the motor needs enough oomph! to push it through the rad anyway. Underpowered hi-cfm fans will drop flow rate drastically when met with resistance. Hope this makes sense.

Also, Heatercore is still on my list of ghettomods to try, I'm happy to see people still getting a kick out of cheap (sometimes free) cooling. Heh, I recently OC'd an old 7800GT and didn't have a rad. So I filled a 5gal bucket with icewater and had that be the rad.

I dig it. It fits nicely in my case

threads been dead for a bit. Figured I'd throw an update. Well about 2 months ago my water block leaked coolant all over my setup. Ruined both cards and my motherboards. I've been busy with classes this past semester so now that classes are finished with I will be posting new pictures of my setup.

So yea, i'm sorry your water block leaked ><. But I've been wanting to do this for longer then i've owned a cheap water aio water setup. So i'm going to start looking in to it. Looks like i can get a heater block for $20 (new), just need to figure out how everything else is going to work (and find the time)... Would have been fun to look at your pictures on this, but i suppose this being 6-7 years later its not too surprising that photobucket (or whomever) doesn't have the pics anymore. Anyway, wanted to post on your thread as i'm too lazy to start my own (plus how fun is it to revive a 6 year old thread??).
