I dont understand why my CS:S framerates are so crappy

My friend was having a similar problem with his X800XL and CS:S. He was running the game at 800x600, I just changed his game resolution to 1280x1024 which happens to be the native resolution on his 19inch LCD and then his frames shot up to where they should be.

HMMM interesting....So for a 19" CRT what resolution should I be running to be "native" if that increases FPS. Thats interesting...Let me know

HL is limited to 100fps...300 wont do anything

Even on a poor cpu with a 9800 pro, you should be getting 70fps+
my 6600GT on a duron800 runs 80fps constant
