Hey ladies and gents, I need an HDMI matrix. I'd love it to have at least 5 inputs and 2 outputs, and preferably be able to shoot both out at the same time.

Here's what's going on so maybe the information will help you:

I will have 2 inputs: an HDMI capture card (specifically the avermedia live gamer hd), and a TCL 39" LED TV (gorgeous TV, btw). I want to be able to spit out to both, and select which inputs go to either.

The outputs will be an Xbox 360, the machine with the capture card in it, the capture card's passthrough output, my desktop's main display, and possibly something else, but for right now we're at 4 in, 2 out, and room for expansion is always a blessing...

What I'd love to be able to do is have my stream rocking, capturing from my capture card, and if I have company over, have them be able to chill and play games and stuff.

Please help, I don't come here for help hardly ever, don't let me down! ♥

  • Each input can be independently assigned to a specific output (matrix switching)
  • One input can be assigned to both outputs simultaneously (splitter function)

Here's a 5x2, but it's rather more expensive, and seems to only support one input at a time (no different-output-per-port): http://www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-Matrix...id=1342038282&sr=1-9&keywords=8x2+hdmi+matrix

Most of the decent ones seem to be multiples of 2 and 4 ports, and all the 8-port devices I've found are basically just splitters/multipliers, and can't route different inputs to different outputs at the same time.

Do you have any experiences with any of these devices? I'm trying to find one that somebody can speak well about from here, because ultimately all of them seem to be kind of hit and miss. I'll research the mono price one though, for sure.
