I have an old P4D system my wife wants me to upgrade. It has a Corsair HX520 in it, and I'm wondering if it can handle the i3 upgrade that I'm planning on doing. Here are the components that will make up the upgrade:
Motherboard: MSI P55-GD65
Processor: Intel Core i3-540
Graphic Card: MSI N250GTS Twin Frozr GeForce GTS 250 512MB
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)
Hard Drive 1: Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB
Hard Drive 2: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
DVD-ROM: LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R
Additional components that I will carry over are a PCI Wifi card, and an internal USB flash card reader.
Does anyone know if the HX520 will be enough, or do I need to up the PSU to 600 or 750W?
