Recently traded i5 661 with "dejo" for this i5 650
My thoughts? I didn't notice any difference of overclockabilty between the two cpus.
Compared to i3s? Not much either.

Believed or not, 4.50Ghz is stable with AUTO setting except for the ram's timing value and its votage was set at 1.66v
All power savings were turned OFF
Idle: 1.456 = 83 watts
Load with Prime95 sFFTs = 1.488 = 163 watts

Though, vcore could and should be lowered a little bit manually but I didn't since I wanted to see how far with an AUTOMATIC mode could take. Very easy indeed....and did I mentioned 4.50Ghz? :)

25*180 bclk
Using its IGP chipset H55 (Gigabyte H55M UD2H)
Kingston HyperX 4GB 2000Mhz KHX2000C9AD3T1K2-4GX
Venomous X with 2 (12cm) Artic Cooling PWM low noise fans for PUSH/PULL configuration
Hitachi 1TB w/32MB cache
Antec GREEN 380W continous power supply

Later added a 7300GT GPU....with very much all settings were manually adjusted in bios for higher speed benching.

I've used 1.49v VTT

....You have a very nice score wPrime 1024 on your 655K.
I couldn't get mine wPrime 1024M passed beyond 4700MHz

rather impressive, I think we can say that you get every last bit out of your chips, and then some. good work

Yeah, I recently bought a P55 UD3R and 2GB of Gskill from EarthDog. Gained by 1 bclk...and got better times with
5025MHz_201x25_SuperPI 8.390s
4750MHz_190x25_wPrime1024M 321.422s
5025MHz_201x25_piFAST 18.27s
5025.49MHz for CPUz Validated.

....something prevented me from beyond 201 bclk which I couldn't figured out.

you need to get on the list for the team pot or just pick one up, and your whole world will change. with that you would gain quite a bit of points on the bot

Great scores...Beat pretty much every score I had up there. Got mine up to 5088.mhz but you got me on everything else.

Good job...

yeah, my old 7300GT was too loud.......unused Intel's heatsink put to good use. :)
It was quick and simply job too.

you can hear the video card over that chip screaming? hehe (sarcasm detected hopefully) super nice times for air on.
