So, I recieved sneakysnowmans 8800GT today, after having to go through tedious emails with the customs since it didn't have a receipt. Apparently they accepted the fact that it was used, and it was a gift, so I got it toll-free.

While this may only seem exciting to me and sneakysnowman and might not seem threadworthy, the main point of this thread is testing mismatched shader count under Linux. I had a 8800GTS earlier, which had 128 shaders, just like my 8800GTX. The 8800GT however, has 112 shaders, so I'm going to test the production on the cards with the new FahCore_11.exe on both the tested and working 180.44 drivers that are default in Ubuntu 9.04, and the new 195.17 drivers that can fold with the wrapper.

No noticable difference, I guess I just need to overclock the 8800GT.

Well, I did get it up to 5112 PPD with core at 700MHz and shader at a whopping 1900MHz, although I don't expect a 1900 shader to be quite stable. Well, we'll see.

Woot! Good looking stuff there Sydney... and a  for your generous benefactor as well!

 <- plus one for me :)

Any chance I can talk you into a write up on your findings and settings for the front page?

Man.. Sydney is gonna be a busy guy if you keep him working so hard. :D

What's with the MEGA quote deadly? As much as I like seeing HFM benchmark numbers... my scroll finger had to do a triple take just to get past the quoted text. :D

If I see something that looks front page worthy, I'm on it. Just like ... Ahem ... HFM ... Cough.:p

That mega quote is about the only reason that Opera Mini can get on my nerves. I never get to see everything in the code tags, and when I hit quote, it doesn't always show me everything in the tags. I do have to say that it is beyond faster than the BB browser. Now if only I could get some more time to post from my computer.:D
