I believe that, but I just didnt' want to take the chance after seeing what I read about it.Mine didn't fail. I just replaced it with a new one right away.
What model did you have?
I decided not to replace mine after the limited info I could find on it suggested it was over rated watt wise but from a decent OEM. Still, now that I know more, in the future maybe!
