Hi lads,

I read somewhere (Woomack? ;)), that sub timings had a big impact on DDR4 performance.

By going 14-16-16-35 to 14-16-16-28 and all sub timings (the ones with exotic acronyms :p) lowered by 10 to 15% from Auto setting, result below.

Lacking knowledge about memory tweaking, could someone explain me how the read and copy speed (as well as l2 cache) can increase so much?

On X99 the most important is cache clock. Since you have it at 4GHz then memory performance won't go up much more but as you see lower timings are still helping. Your results already look good. I'm not sure if it's worth to push it more when it's 24/7 PC.
