Abit IP35-Pro, Q6600, G.Skill F2 DDR8000, 2 640gig WD, MSI 9600GT, Corsair HX520 X, Lite-On ATA/IDE DVD/CDRW, Teac floppy.

I am having trouble getting RAID-O setup on a IP35 Pro using XP Pro.

I am downloading this floppy maker from Intel...

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/dow...y32.zip&DwnldId=14849&ProductID=2101&lang=eng

When Windows ask for the floppy it is giving me these drivers.

Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
Intel(R) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH7M0)
Intel(R) 82801FR SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH6R)

Kinda confusing since the board has the ICH9R chipset.

Is this the right driver download ? Do I need to load both the SATA RAID and SATA AHCI driver.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you scroll down? When I used the floppy to install, there was about 15 entries, the correct one being conveniently at the end :-/

You could also get the drivers from the motherboard driver install disc.

Just download the driver/manager installer HERE

Use the following command to extract the driver files:

c:\iata_enu.exe -a -a -pc:\<path>

When the command is run, the installation process begins;
simply click through the dialogs as prompted. This will not
install the driver, it will only extract the driver files to
<path>. After the extraction is completed, the driver
files can be found in <path>\Driver.

Create a floppy containing the following files in the root
directory:
iaAhci.inf, iaAhci.cat,
iaStor.inf, iaStor.cat,
iaStor.sys, and
TxtSetup.oem.

Now you have the files on a floppy and can hit F6 when setup says "hit F6...."

Thanks for the reply's...The error of my way...I was selecting the Intel and JMicron drivers.

Just selected the Intel RAID driver and she's up and running...When I open JMicron in the programs it tells me there is no device present...So time to hook up the other WD 6400AAKS to serial port #5...Here is a pic of HDtach no matrix slice and cache writing enabled.

Thank you again guy's !!!!
