Sony isn't my favorite brand either but I buy good products not good labels.

Yep all source games support widescreen right out of the box.

www.widescreengamingforums.com has tons of info to configure many other games to play in widescreen.

Cool monitor. Not sure if your monitor is an xbrite or not but I love Sony Xbrite technology.

I bougt a laptop that had Xbrite and love it and now I have a 19" (4:3) monitor that's Xbrite for my desktop. Only wish my Sony Big Screen was an Xbrite.
