i have core unlocked phenom ii 560 be,which is running quite stable even at full load.but i am wondering that if i do overclock it do i have to raise the the cpu voltage which is set to auto in bios

Generally, you can get a small to moderate overclock without increasing CPU voltage but how much will vary a lot from CPU to CPU, even within the same model line because of several factors, especially the variance in stock CPU core VID. At some point in the overclock you will need to raise CPU voltage to keep it stable. This may be more true of an unlocked CPU which probably had some core that were out of spec to start with.
