Hi guys - 2012 comes to a close... and we're all still here. That's good... the Mayans were wrong. :) Although I haven't been around, at all really, I haven't stopped folding, nor will I stop folding, nor have I stopped development of HFM. All things folding just aren't as high on the personal priority list. I do miss all the friendships and camaraderie I've built here over the years and hopefully I won't be as aloof in 2013 as I have been in 2012.

So... a belated Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year!!! :santa:

Now to my GPU question... I have a 560Ti here that I recently acquired. Running v7.2.9 and driver v295.73 the GPU runs 1 or 2 units fine (usually just 1) then ends up looping into this until it just quits.

The fix to get it going again is to simply pause the slot and start it again. Then the cycle repeats. I have not tried the card in another machine yet, nor have I tried running v6 instead. Just curious if anyone here has run into anything similar; and if so, what was the fix?

Running client v7.2.9 on all my rigs, both linux and windows. Have three 560Ti in the farm. GPU driver 310.70 has been working well for me, both xp32 and xp64. Driver 266.58 also worked well for me.

OMG, the world is coming to an end, The great and all knowing Harlam357 has a question about a GPU

p.s. Harlam, I am using 0.9.1-595 now :)

when you set up your F@H did you do express install or custom? i had that issue when i set it up to run as a service. if you do custom install you want the first choice to avoid that error.

Thanks Hayes... I'll try the new driver... and if that fails a different rig. I've got this one in an old Q6600 build right now.

Thanks WhitehawkEQ... I appreciate the kind words. Been so long since I was trying to do anything semi-serious with a GPU that I'm basically out of touch with the best setup.

@Dave - basically a brand new card, to me... heck, the guy I bought it from still had the shrink wrap on the box. My GTX460 acted the same in this box so maybe it's more the box and not the GPU.

@NiteSmoker17 - custom install but no service... if I had installed as a service the GPU wouldn't run at all. Again, the GPU does run... but only a unit or two then (splat).

Thanks for the help guys!!! Nice to be around again. :)

Looks like the right driver makes all the difference... 310.70 and seven units straight. :)

Thanks for the tip Hayes!
