My current CRT, Philips 202p40 (22") has been good but is having problems after ten years so I'm looking for an
LCD. I'd like to get 1900 x 1200 (1920 x 1200?) just because I want as many pixels in the vertical plane as I
had with my CRT. I don't want to go any higher than 1920 x 1200 because I don't have the video card horsepower
to run any games at a higher res. So I know I want a low response time (5 ms) and LED backlit. Do I need a 120Hz monitor? Or 140Hz? What about the LCD monitors that incorporate some special proprietary Nvidia hardware (I think
it's for the adaptive vsync but I'm not sure)? I'd also like it to have a D-sub VGA connection for my dedicated CentOS box.
