So I've been playing with an Athlon II X2 220 on my CHV board that last few days and noticed something. Anytime I go over 300 Mhz with the FSB my memory goes into single channel. I tried 3 different sets of sticks and lowered the ram down to 1200+ Mhz, "was running a bit over 1600" and still every time I go over 300 Mhz on the FSB it drops to single channel.

It's actually around 305. ;)
Most all of the A2X2's do this. Doesn't matter which board or chipset.
Cold will get you higher. 350+ range is possible.
IMC is weak and hot.

We have a thread on this at CP.

Oh really thanks Scotty, I'll come over and have a look and yeah I narrowed it down it was 305+ where it was happening

There is no fix that I know of. It's mostly a case of temp and silicon lottery to get it any higher.
