Hi!

I just put together my XP 2000
and Epox 8k5a+ I have SLK-800 heatsink and
Thermaltake smart case fan 2 http://www.thermaltake.com/products/dcfan/a1357.htm
which I mounted on heatsink
but this thing is too loud I barely can sleep :)
according to SpeedFan 4.07 http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

my CPU temp is 40c or 4800rpm
and on my heatsink fan I can set fan speed
my question is how low I can go with fan speed?

thanx

Thanx for reply

I know that, but how low I can go right now is 4800rpm max
but can how much I can lower it ie. 4000rpm, 3000rpm,
and still not to hurt CPU,

thanx

You'll just have to watch your temperatures as you lower the RPMs and find the point were both work out the best

Yep. You are going to have to adjust it so that you are comfortable with the noise while maintaining good temperatures (I strongly suggest under 50 while aiming for 45 to leave some head room).

thanx guys for replies and useful info,
now I can sleep I've set it around 4000rpm and I get about 45c when playing Serious Sam Second Encounter
which is way much quite then 4800 those all info is according to
SpeedFan 4.07
