Hello Guys and Good Day to all! I am building a new PC and i am starting with the motherboard. i am currently confused between these two motherboards whether which one is better than the other.

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VII_HERO/specifications/

Hero's price is much more expensive but that does not justify its better. i have checked the specs of the two mobos and didn't quite notice any big difference aside from additional sata ports etc.. if there are any significant difference please let me know i might oversaw one. and my eyes are kinda bad :D

btw i am just a gamer and will use the PC for gaming. I have a working knowledge on overclocking and will overclock it. Other uses will be just surfing the net and web programming...

Thanks!

For gaming it doesn't really matter which one you pick. Main difference are additional features like slightly better LAN card but I really doubt you will see that while playing games.
Generally pick the cheapest board with all the features you need as most boards in this price point are similar and most are good quality ( for sure good enough for gaming ).

If you don't need M.2 slot then you may also take a look at Gigabyte Z97X SOC/SOC Force that are offering about the same.

Now I know why you asked about ROG boards in the other thread ;)
