If you have PC3200 you have nothing to worry about.
 
This is very important to me, could someone please answer:

You do not need the wire trick for the desktop 2400+, I know that for sure but unlike with the desktop 2400+, you need the wire trick on 2400+ mobile if you have the Epox nForce2 (or a mobo that's not Abit-Soltek-DFI)?

Yes you will need the wire trick.
 
speaking of tricks, whats up with the L12 mod, practically necessary? i have a mobile 2400+ in the mail that will get here mon or tues and was curious.
