I'm buying it for him from cyberpowerpc.com because I'm too lazy to build it myself and I'm really busy this summer

anyway, here are the 2 possible configs, one is AMD based and one is P4 based (cant decide which to go with). I also cant decide if its better to get 1 7900 GT card or like 2 6800 GT cards or 2 other cards, or one other card for that matter

Ya the only drawback with the AMD is that you dont get DDR2 ram, I just wasnt sure if the processor was that much better

powersupply is crap. Save the money on the cpu, get a 930 oc it, and get a better PSU. Do you really need a floppy? I have one and have used it 1 in 3 yrs. You can get an NEC burner for cheaper around 35-40$

onboard sounds doesnt do nearly as good as add in cards + add in cards give better frames in gaming..

and AMD has performed better in gaming than intel.. Intel would be more toward multi tasking and work performance than gaming.. altho i think alot of people would disagree.
