That mobo is only 4 phase. It's going to be working really hard with a decent overclock.
I would've gone with a Z87-A or Extreme4

Yea I am working with the retailer on some form of resolution. Considering that the part is open and installed I am surprised they have been as responsive as they have been. That being said I'm still not sure what sort of resolution we will come to. On another note I was able to get all the software drivers and updates taken care of. I was even able to take Titanfall for a little spin. All I have to say is WOW!! At the moment I don't think an overclock is necessary or will have any noticeable improvement. Though when some of the other games come out later this year and Star Citizen in 2016 I an overclock will be needed.

Just remember that if u do swap the board you will need to reinstall windows

The boot SATA is all that matters. (Z87)
The rest you can install the drivers for later.

I took a Server 2012 install from a GA-880GA-UD3H to a GA-970A-UD3.
No hitches what-so-ever.

Actually, I think its on a ~35-day uptime right now.
