I've narrowed it down to these sub $180 P67 motherboards for my new build:

ASRock P67 EXTREME4 (B3)

GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD4-B3

MSI P67A-GD55 (B3)

I was initially leaning towards the ASRock because of better reviews, especially in newegg.

My problem is that I've heard ASRock isn't as reliable as the other two. I don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't want to buy a board just to have it fail sooner than the others would.

What do you guys think?

I'm sure you would be happy with any of the 3. I personally like Gigabyte as I've had 0 issues with their boards or support, and the dual backup BIOS is nice (assuming it is on there, don't know why they would have removed that feature all of a sudden).

Here are my thoughts on the MSI P67A-GD55...

IF you'll use Xfire:

Decent Layout if you will Xfire. Problem: IF using a pair of 6970s, the second card will rest on top of the jumpers for the front panel. This is NOT a showstopper, mind you...you just have to forego using those "quick-connectors" for the front panel jumpers.

Otherwise, outstanding layout. There is plenty of space between the video cards for air to enter the reference fan to cool the first card if you are running Xfire. I also like the fact that you have an X1 slot and a PCI slot free when using Xfire because that allows you plenty of options for an add-in card.

As an example: I can use a PCIeX1 HVR 1800 TV Tuner and a PCI-based HT Omega Striker sound card, or I can throw in my Creative X-Fi Audio Extreme PCIeX1 and my PCI HVR 1600 TV Tuner...Or, I can throw in BOTH TV Tuners and use the onboard sound, which is good.

It overclocks very well. It's VERY stable. It has plenty of ports (USB2) and a couple USB3.

The UEFI BIOS is "different" until you get used to it, then it's a breeze.

I love mine, even though I was affected by the P67 Recall and just got my replacement board Monday and replaced the "bad" board yesterday.
